5-axis machining centre for complex large parts, moulds and dies

The YBM Vi50 is YASDA's flagship 5-axis machining centre and meets the demand for large milling capabilities. It builds on the success of the versatile, high-precision 5-axis YBM Vi40.

The YBM Vi50 is created from the same design concept as the YBM Vi40, ideal for difficult-to-mill cold forging moulds and injection moulds with high surface finishes.

These features also make it adept at high precision and demanding machining in a variety of large part applications.

Horizontal Machining Centres

YASDA's 4-5 Axis Horizontal Jig Machining Centres are designed for rigid milling and coordinated drilling operations. These machines are preferred when maximum precision is required on larger workpieces. The machine tool industry, injection moulding and press machine manufacturers and precision engineering fields are the typical application areas of these machines.

These machines are characterised by the following features:

Rigid design, Double ball spindle, 5th axis option, Spindle self-regulating bearing preload, Heat stabilisation, Positioning accuracy of linear axes less than 4 microns.

High Potential Newly Developed Table Unit

Using DD motors and high rigidity bearings, the newly developed table unit demonstrates superior capacity for high speed and high precision machining, cutting difficult to cut materials and heavy cutting with a powerful drive force. In addition, highly precise rotation axis control ensures backlash-free operation and fast response machining.

Since it is designed on the basis of a horizontal machining centre, it is possible to select larger ATC and APC.

The newly developed table unit is four times more rigid than the previous model, resulting in a significant deformation reduction of 60% under load.
